How many remember back to kindergarten?

I remember several things...................the nasty scratchy nap rugs, having to bring in kleenex and a snack pack once a month to share with the class.

And I also remember this was the first time that we had to SHARE on such a large scale.  I mean I remember it being MY birthday yet I had to share with the whole class :(  at the time I couldn't understand why, if it was supposed to be MY happy time I had to give everyone else something.

Now as I have grown and matured, I understand it really is better to give than to receive.  Yet sometimes we find ourselves on the receiving end anyhow.

Recently I was on the receiving end and got a brand new Gypsy from Provo Craft, now since I already have one and it has an extended warranty on it and you can't load your carts on more than one Gypsy I thought I would SHARE this week.

So I am going to give away my brand new Gypsy and a cartridge to one lucky person.

All I ask is that you tell me one thing that has to do with sharing, whether it was you that shared, someone shared with you or someone you know sharing with someone else.

Leave a way for me to get a hold of you if you win.

I will be having Chance draw a name out of the hat (or bowl or pumpkin or something) on Monday afternoon.

I'm a very sharing person. :) My husband and I make a date out of donating blood - which to me is a very awesome way to share! I've also found out that I have more than enough platelets to donate to cancer patients - so I'll be doing this whenever there is a need. (Apparently platelets don't have much of a shelf life.) :)

Dawn - I have been following your story and posting occasionally. I have been a foster parent and have had many children in my homw. Some stay overnight others a few weeks, still others the rest of their lives. I would like to thank you for sharing your life with children in need. Family or not it takes a great capacity for love to be able to take the turmoil, upset and chaos that goes with fostering. Don't forget yourself in this. It is very easy to do and doesn't do good for anyone. Just keep loving them and sharing yourself. I will be praying for you on Monday. Karen

I take my laptop and use do a search, to find what they need, and them locate the cartridge. I'm having back surgery in Dec. and a Gypsy would help take the load off.
Congrats on your blog.

We passed a candy store, at that time a nickel would buy three pieces of candy, I saw the look in her eyes and that nickel was well spent, still today, she brings up that nickel and shares everything, but still won't help CLEAN...I LOVE HER DEARLY Maile 1933

Wow!!! :) What a great thing to share! This is so sweet & generous of you! I so wanted to go to the Cricut Swarm (couldn't believe that the grab bag had a Gypsy in it!), but it was just too far...

My parents were always teaching us the true meaning of sharing, but the thing that I remember most (especially at this time of the year) is when they made a whole Thanksgiving dinner and bought a ton of groceries to give to an elderly patient that would visit the doctor's office my mother worked at. Rather than make her feel bad (she was too proud to accept handouts) or like she owed anyone, my mother and father had us kids deliver it anonymously! It felt so great to bring a smile to her face and to know that we made a real difference!!!

How wonderful of you to give away a new Gypsy!

I've shared my home for the past 8 months with my BFF of over 24 years.

She has recently been having some health and financial issues so I let her move in with me until she can get back on her feet. It has been an adjustment sharing my home (and income) but sometimes we are called to help others and share with others. I'm sure she would do the same for me.

Sharing...still trying to learn to share my life with my husband after 15 years of marriage. Trying to get him to understand that it should be a more 50-50rather than this 90-10 thing we've got going on...and yes, I'm 90! ;) Thanks for the chance.

Thank you so much for this opportunity. I am one of the few that do not own a gypsy. There are many stories I could tell but one that stands out happened last Christmas. My Aunt and I volunteered to help a local family. We would go once a week to help the young children with english. Right before Christmas we brought Stockings filled with little dollar items.( slinkys, crayons, stuffed animal etc). We brought the mother a bag of food. The kids carried those stockings around as if we gave them gold. They did not rip them open they just walked around with the biggest smiles on their faces. To this day it still makes me feel good.

Dawn, those boys are so lucky to have you!!!

Love the new pics! I like that I now have a blog and can share my ideas and crafts. None of my family or friends are scrapbookers so it is really nice to share the blog with everyone else.

Thanks for the opportunity to share and win! I want to recognize my mother in law for sharing all of her creativity with me. We got into scrapbooking together. She has years of crafting experience retail and personally with quilting, sewing, painting....you name it, she has done it.

Thank you for the chance! lol

Sharing is such an important trait to have as a person. I love to watch a toddler see another crying and come over to share a hug or their toy or candy.
It is too bad that as we age, we sometimes lose that simple act of caring for another human.

WOW, what an awesome thing to do. I would love to win this so I could be on the giving end and give it to my sister, who has a 2yr old DD and on one income (HUBBY)just surviving in this economy. She has a create and not much else.

I am fortunate to have 2 women in my life that share all of themselves, one is my mother and the other a very close friend that lives very far away.

These are the 2 most caring women I know. I wish that I could be more like both of them.

I will never forget the 2 weeks I shared with my friend Sue as we volunteered at an orphanage in Romania. Life changing to say the least. I am thankful for that time.

Thanks for the chance to win a Gypsy. If I win I will be sharing with one of those 2 wonderful women.

Sharing...
learned at an early age with 6 brothers and sisters that you have to share. Kinda glad I was the oldest so at least I had a shot at something that was new before I shared it with the younger kids.
Good luck with everything!!

I think that I have the ultimate story of sharing. I have a dear kind sister that two years ago shared the absolute best gift she could. She gave our father her kidney so our children would have more time to spend with their dearly beloved Grandfather. I have a Gypsy so I'm planning on sharing this one with her if I'm fortunate enough to be the one drawn. Thanks for the generous gift whoever wins it.

No kindergarten for me!

The one thing I can say about sharing is that the best gifts are always the ones that you can share with someone!
